La Asociación Española de Filosofía del Deporte (AEFD) se constituyó con el propósito de promover el estudio y análisis del deporte como fenómeno filosófico. Académicos y expertos de distintas especialidades consideran que existe un ámbito específico del deporte que merece ser examinado desde el punto de vista filosófico.

La Asociación Latina de Filosofía del Deporte (ALFiD) se constituyó en noviembre de 2013 con el propósito de promover el estudio y análisis del deporte como fenómeno filosófico en el ámbito latino.
